Arbalest

(Ar"ba*lest Ar"ba*list) n. [OF. arbaleste, LL. arbalista, for L. arcuballista; arcus bow + ballista a military engine. See Ballista.]

(Antiq.) A crossbow, consisting of a steel bow set in a shaft of wood, furnished with a string and a trigger, and a mechanical device for bending the bow. It served to throw arrows, darts, bullets, etc.

But what the arbalest was most known for was that it was Powerful and Accurate. Applying this concept to software development we at Arbalest Incorporated have translated this to On Target - On Time. All too often a major software development project is undertaken and completed yet it is not exactly want the client wanted. As frequent, the project is what the client wanted yet it is so late and/or so over budget that the advantage to be gained from the system is lost. Our aim is different.

Arbalest Incorporated - On Target, On Time.
